Rebels get TV show on CourTV, rape/kill no one

TruTV’s  move to select Ole Miss for their new reality series “Gridiron U” should placate both Ole Miss fans starved for national recognition after years of mediocrity and Arkansas’ Shroud of the Ozarks, long convinced that Herr Nutt’s sext-texting antics and evil wizardry would one day get him on Court TV.

The national exposure is a boon for the Rebels, long ignored by the national CFB media until mere months ago. Their presence on basic cable could alarm the casual college football fan, unaware of an “Ole Miss” football team. Considering ESPN’s dedicated coverage of the traditional (albeit largely overhyped) five-team ConferencESPN –Tim Tebow’s Philippine orphanage, Pete Carroll’s hair, every shuddering bowel movement in South Bend, Indiana, and (of course!) Michigan and Ohio State – an entire nation is about to discover OTHER universities playing football.

There are, in fact, teams that play against Florida and LSU before one of those two corporations beats Ohio State by 35 points for a national title. It only took a pioneering network made famous by “Homicide” reruns and child rape trials to shine the spotlight on the little guy.

Thank you, basic cable, and we promise to make this compelling. Dexter McCluster is fumbling his DNA all over town as we speak.
